More notes about the marina

The town of Trogir lies on a small island situated between the large island of Ciovo to the S and the Croatian mainland to the N. The city of Split with its international airport and good transport links is only 25 kms away. The ACI Marina Trogir lies on the S side of the channel leading into Trogir, on the northern shore of the island of Čiovo. It provides 162 berths for yachts up to 25 metres in depths of up to 6.0 metres. The marina should not be confused with the SCT Marina Trogir immediately to the west, which is now managed by Camper & Nicholson.

Communication

Call ACI Marina Trogir on VHF channel 17 prior to entry. Alternatively, telephone or e-mail to enquire about berthing or advance reservations.

Navigation

Trogir is joined to the island of Čiovo by a low road bridge, which dictates that yachts must approach the town from W. There are no dangers in the approach, although the coast to the N of the channel is shallow and a yacht should not approach too close. Depths at the entrance to the channel are around 10 metres, shoaling to 4.0 metres near the road bridge.

Note: There is usually an adverse current flowing W under the bridge, which can make manoeuvring difficult. Fortunately, the current is slightly weaker inshore where the marina is sited, on the S side of the channel directly opposite the waterfront of the old town.

Berthing

Berthing assistance is available. Yachts berth stern/bows-to where directed on one of seven pontoons. Laid moorings at all berths. Depths range from 6.0 metres on the outer end of the central pontoon to 2.0 metres on the inner end of the westernmost pontoon (see plan).
