There is absolutely nothing nearby.  If you wanted a pack of cigarettes, you would have to walk about 15 minutes to the metro station; if the coffee shops are open, then you'd get your cigarettes.  Me, I don't smoke, so I did not have this particular issue.

Marina radio contact

Before entering call Athens Marina at VHF Channel 9, Call Sign : Athens Marina.

Navigation

Tender pilot assistance on entry. The attendants will help to moor.

Berthing

The marina has a mooring capacity of 130 yachts and can accommodate yachts up to 130m. There is 24-hour mooring assistance with marina’s tenders

Facilities

  • Telephone line
  • Sewage disposal with vacuum stations
  • Use of helipad
  • Car parking lot
  • Storage space
  • Yacht Cleaning & Laundry services
  • In situ coast guard office - good for those with a Transit Log who are required to check-in at every port. However, it only opens 4 days per week (Mo - Sat, with two days in between closed), closes by about 14:00 hrs, it is known to not open punctually, and sometimes simply does not open with no prior warning. In this case, you will be asked to take a taxicab ride to see the coast guard office in Zea Marina.

Repairs

Haul-out?, yard?, etc.

Security

Еxcellent.

Location

There is absolutely nothing nearby. If you wanted a pack of cigarettes, you would have to walk about 15 minutes to the metro station; if the coffee shops are open, then you'd get your cigarettes. Me, I don't smoke, so I did not have this particular issue.

There is a vending machine near the toilets, and I think I saw sandwiches on it, so the famished and brave may always take this risk.

Uber ride prices: to Kallithea metro station, €5. To Zea Marina in the Piraeus, €5. From Syntagma Square, after midnight (zero traffic), €7. (2017)

Transport

10 minute walk to Athens Metro station Faliro.

Price

Current price is 35 €/ day for a 12 m sailboat (2013/08). Water and electricity payment is based on consumption.

Current price is 67.60€/day for 16m sailboat (2017/09). VAT included. There is a fixed €5+VAT charge for connecting 230V power (more for higher voltages). Water and electricity are metered and charged.

Charges are by the 24-hr period. If you arrive at 10:00 am, your payment secures a berth until 9:59 am the following day. While the warnings on overstaying are stern, we overstayed 4 hours (after one week) but we had as excuse that the in situ coastguard office was closed and had to go to the Piraeus, so they had no objections and applied no pressure on us.

  • Еxcellent service. --Radul
  • We spent a night here in September 14 the rates were reasonable and staff friendly. The water was full of detritus and stank. It was made clear that we had 24hrs stay, and had to leave on the hour or pay another day. There was a Greek rock concert in the stadium next door that night so slept was impossible and add to that a local "drifting competition" in the car park outside made the night truly unpleasant. The port police don't seem to come here anymore so I was told I had to get in a taxi and go to Zea to see them. A waste of time and money given out strict 24hr deadline. The wifi within the port worked intermittently at best.

The surrounding area of the marina appears to be a abandoned relic from the Olympics and is very unattractive. It is at least close to the tram lime with easy access to Athens. --Patrickvela
