There is only one anchorage, the harbor of Ayios Efstratios. It provides fairly good shelter from the ''meltemi'' but it is open to SW. A large rectangular basin was built to the west and adjacent to the fishing harbour to serve ferries. Yachts can moor alongside its western mole or go stern to this mole. There are water and electricity stands on the mole, free as of May 2017. The harbor of Ayios Efstratios

There is only one port, the harbor of Ayios Efstratios. It provides fairly good shelter from the meltemi but it is open to SW. Go stern-to the usually crowded by fishing boats quay, avoiding the SW corner where the ferry from Limnos docks. The bottom is sandy with scattered rocks and affords good holding, if you hit the sandy patch. Fortunately the water here is very clear. A large rectangular basin was built to the west and adjacent to the fishing harbour to serve ferries. Yachts can moor alongside its western mole or go stern to this mole. There are water and electricity stands on the mole, free as of May 2017. The western (and north) moles are fitted with ship sized rectangular fenders so if moored alongside it is advisable to fender accordingly to avoid damage from the fixed mole fenders. There is a port police office few steps to the east of the fishing harbour.

The fishing boats can be rather malodorous and may be keeping their VHF's at high volume. Otherwise this can be a pleasant anchorage.
