Constanța (Romanian pronunciation: konˈstant͡sa), historically known as Tomis (Greek: Κωνστάντζα or Κωνστάντια, Konstantia, Bulgarian: Кюстенджа or Констанца, Turkish: Köstence), is the oldest extant city in Romania. It was founded around 600 BC.
The Port of Constanța has an area of 39.26 km2 (15.16 sq mi) and a length of about 30 km (19 mi). It is the largest port on the Black Sea, and one of the largest ports in Europe.
The yacht harbor, Port Tomis, is in the ancient sea port north of the large commercial harbor. It is operated as a marina. It is in a very attractive location.

Approach from the SW. Hail the authorities on VHF channel 67, but they may not respond.
The entrance can be difficult to see until almost upon it, especially when arriving with the sun setting in the west. Use extra care and attention when arriving in strong S or SE winds.

Inform the harbor master one hour before departure.
