Overview
The port of Gelibolu lies on the N shore of the Dardanelles, three miles W of the entrance to the Sea of Marmara. The harbour, which used to be a useful port of call for yachts transiting the straits, is now closed to yachts since the opening of the harbour of Lapseki on the southern shore directly opposite.
