Kalmar (/ˈkɑːlmɑːr/) is a city in the southeast of Sweden, situated by the Baltic Sea. It had 36,392 inhabitants in 2010[1] and is the seat of Kalmar Municipality.

- Kalmar airport have connections to Stockholm Arlanda Airport
- There are direct trains from Copenhagen, via Copenhagen Airport and Malmö as well as trains from Gothenburg. From Stockholm, a change of trains in Alvesta is required. Kalmar central station is just a few blocks from the central square
