When approaching Kusadasi from the south (e.g. having passed throught the Straits of Samos), yachts should pass well offshore of Karga Burnu and Yalanci Burnu, both of which have reefs extending some distance offshore. There is also a shoal patch due west of the marina entrance, just over a mile off, where depths shoal to around 5-6 metres. This is, however, usually identifiable by tripper or dive boats moored on it. If manoeuvering around the outside of the marina breakwater, note that it shallows dangerously towards the root. | When approaching Kusadasi from the south (e.g. having passed throught the Straits of Samos), yachts should pass well offshore of Karga Burnu and Yalanci Burnu, both of which have reefs extending some distance offshore.
