Lorient, or L'Orient is port in Brittany, France. It sits on the banks of a natural harbour, similar to Portsmouth in the UK but a little smaller. The harbour is a joy to explore if you have a fast tender.

Marinas & Yacht Clubs
Lorient is home to the Sellor group of marinas, primarily:
- Lorient central - further from the harbour entrance, but right in the middle of the city, this marina seems a little tight and crowded.
- Kernével - a large and spacious marina, close to the entrance of the harbour; the same price (2020) as central Lorient, but further from centre ville. UShip chandlery nearby; large E.Leclerc supermarket is 25 minutes walk. Wifi is totally hopeless.
- Port-Louis - on the other side of the water; slightly, but not significantly, cheaper than the other two. Port-Louis hosts a street market on Saturdays and (seasonally) Tuesdays. UShip chandlery and sailmaker nearby.
