Navigation

If you arrive in the night, when the swing bridge is closed, call CNMdP on VHF channel 71. There are waiting buoys outside the bridge.

Provide any other navigation notes especially any dangers or peculiar local conditions here.

Entrance

Mar del Plata is a port of entry for Argentina. For details see Entrance: Argentina

Half hour before acces the port you must inform ETA to Prefectura Naval on VHF Ch.16 . Ask for help for formailities in the clubs, friendly people. If Mar del Plata is your first port in the country, will be visited by Health Control with fee charged visit. Not needed is commin for other Argentine port.

Berthing

This is s fishing harbor. It is best to use one of the marinas.
