More notes about the marina

Marina di Brindisi is a new marina situated in one of the most sheltered parts of the port of Brindisi, the inlet of Seno di Bocca di Puglia, half a mile N of the entrance to the middle harbour. It will be clearly seen to starboard once past the breakwater that extends S from the conspicuous fort of Castello del Mare. In addition to providing over 600 berths on its nine pontoons, the marina also operates a 7,000 square meter shipyard.

Marina radio contact

Contact Marina di Brindisi on VHF channel 08 prior to entry. For advance reservations, telephone or e-mail.

Navigation/Approach

In the approach to Brindisi from both N and S, keep at least 500 metres off the headlands at either end of the bay of Brindisi to avoid the rocky reefs extending off them. The entrance to the outer harbour is between the mile-long northern breakwater extending from Punta Riso and the shorter southern mole extending out from the coast to the mini-archipelago of Isole Pedagne. Once inside, head for the passage between the ferry terminal and the conspicuous fort of Castello del Mare on a heading of WSW to enter the middle harbour. Turn to starboard immediately after passing the breakwater off the Castello del Mare to enter the marina.

Berthing

Berthing assistance available.
