The development is attractive (though not as much as Porto Rotondo), especially the older Porto Vecchio part.  The newer harbour is both more modern and more glitzy but has less character.  Well worth the climb is the beautiful church of Stella Maris overlooking the harbour, which has an unusual portico supported by menhir-like columns and a ‘Gaudi-like’ feel to the whole design, with lots of curved surfaces and wrought iron elements.
