While it is possible to secure to the town wharf for short periods a better option is Caleta La Poza a short distance to the north. Here it is possible to either lie at anchor or you may choose to anchor and run shore lines.

Fuel Diesel can be purchased from an outlet next to the Capitania. However, fuel purchased there in June 2012 was dearer than in Pto Eden and the dirtiest diesel I had bought in my 10 years in Patagonia. --Frank

There are a number of small supermercados in the town. There is a post office

There are a few bars and small restaurants.

Transportation

There is an airfield on the island and the ferry 'Don Baldo' calls at the port several times a week and links it with Chacabuco and Isla Grande de Chiloe.
