My name is Carolyn Shearlock and I’m a former cruiser and owner of Que Tal, a Tayana 37. With my husband, I spent 6 years living aboard full time while cruising the Pacific coast of Mexico, the Sea of Cortez and Central America. While cruising, I wrote a number of articles for Cruising World, Blue Water Sailing, Latitude 38 and Latitudes and Attitudes.

I’ve just begun a new website with updated versions of some articles, plus new ones. The site – TheBoatGalley.com – is devoted to galley tips and solving common problems faced by cruising cooks, based on my own experience aboard our Tayana 37. The website contains in-depth articles featuring practical galley tips, insights and equipment recommendations. It’s totally free and there's generally one new article each weekday.
