Welcome to CruisersWiki!
We all look forward to your valued contributions to the Cruising Wiki. Help it grow as a useful, free resource for all cruisers around the world.
Spend a little time reading the help pages (link in L/H menu) and the Style Guide to gain a better understanding of the Wiki formatting and how to edit articles. Please add what you can - even correcting grammar and spelling errors in articles is a great help. The more you use the Wiki the easier (and more addictive) it becomes.
Use any page's "Discussion" tab (top of page's menu) to ask any questions or make any suggestions about that particular page.
Please set your personal preferences in "My Preferences" (link at top R/H of page when logged in).
Also, please read the Cruiserswiki Copyrights notice, as well as the General Disclaimers (links at bottom of pages).

Portimao

Recent Edits
I am impressed by the quality of your recent edits. Keep up the good work that helps our fellow cruisers. --Thanks. I think this is a great resource which, hopefully, will only get better. Still not clear on how to add some photos, however. eg. of the little harbour in Scauri --LifePart2
Photos
To place a photo, you must first upload it. You do this by clicking "Upload file" under "toolbox" on the left side of the edit page. Please make sure that the image you upload is either yours or in the public domain. Also try to keep the size under 800 x 800 pixels, and give it a unique name
Once you have uploaded the photo you then use it by inserting in a wiki page the following line:
- [[Image:Sailing800.jpg|thumb|345px|right| '''Place comment here''' - ''Click for larger view'']], where
- Sailing800.jpg is replaced name of the the file you have uploaded,
- 345px specifies the width of the photo to be displayed in pixels (for photos in marina pages use 320)
- thump specifies that a click will display the actual size photo in a new window
- and right that it is to be displayed on the right side
