The town of Vodice lies on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, six miles NW of Sibenik and just over a mile E of Tribunj. Originally a small fishing village, the town has expanded with the construction of several large hotels and an ACI yacht marina and is now one of the busiest resorts along the central Adriatic coast. Yachts have the option either of the berthing in the town’s small harbour, where there are few facilities, or in the 290-berth Marina Vodice immediately NE of the town harbour.

The town of Vodice has few attractions other than some very attractive beaches in the vicinity. The town was fortified against Turkish incursions in the 17the century, but today only one tower of the original walls remains. The walk along the coast to the old town of Tribunj, built on an island connected to the mainland via a narrow causeway, is very pleasant. There are some good restaurants along the waterfront in Tribunj at the end of the walk.
