The 'other bay' in S.W. Florida besides Tampa. Less known, less populated, less commercialized. 270 sq. miles of superb sailing waters 8' to 14' deep. Shellfish based white sand sea floor and beaches with aquamarine waters give Charlotte Harbor a strong Caribbean flavor.

This is the written version of the reports issued on VHF 12 via the internet. Pay careful attention, sometimes the forecasts for the south region [Bonita Beach to Englewood] and the north region [Englewood to Tarpon Springs] are given separately, sometimes together and sometimes both bay/out 20nm and out 60nm are given together or separately.

941-828-0216 35 ton Travel Lift, dry storage for boats up to 55' that have a 5' or shallower draft. A diamond in the rough. Accommodating family operated facility that allows owners to not only work on their own boats in the yard [including bottom painting] but allows the owner to stay on his boat while working on it. Showers, laundry, kitchen & dining area, refrigeration, free ice, wifi, and many other sailors to compare notes and generate friendships with. You will be hard pressed to find a similar facility in all your travels...most highly recommended.
