- In 1999 when the marinas were newly acquired by Setur they were still not used to dealing with foreigners. We were misdirected on how to make a "change of crew" on our travel-log. It took us a lot of run-around and 2 days before we discovered that we had to go to Karaköy. There, at the Coast Guard office, the travel-log was updated within 5 minutes! Other then that we were very satisfied with the marina. --Istioploos 21:20, 21 July 2008 (MDT)
- Today, this is the biggest and well organized marina of Turkey. Holding 1400 berthing capacity. Within this month goverment renewed the 30 years renting conract with Setur. There will be construction beginning of year 2015 and it will take 2 years to complete this. Within this period no berthing will be possible. End of this construction the capacity will increase to 1700 yachts. For the sailors who wants to visit Istanbul shoud go to Pendik Marina starting from beginning of year 2015. --Boran 05:13, 20 July 2014
