Latakia (Arabic: الْلَاذِقِيَّة al-Lādhiqīyah; Syrian pronunciation: [el.laːdˈʔɪjje, -laːðˈqɪjja]), also spelled Lattakia or Latakiyah, is the principal port city of Syria, as well as the capital of the Latakia Governorate.

Communication
You must contact Lattakia Radio on the HF channel 16 when you are 12 nM west of the Syrian coast.
Warning: Do not take any short cuts, as Syrian Navy patrol boats monitor the corridor and will readily impose a $4,000 fine for any infringements. Follow the instructions given.

Berthing
There are 2 harbours: the commercial one and the boat harbour north of the commercial.
Within the boat harbour there is a fishing port and the Lattakia Marina on its NE corner. Yachts go to the marina.
