More notes about the marina

Marina Veruda is situated in a deep inlet two miles S of the harbour of Pula on the Istrian coast of Croatia. With over 600 berths, it is the largest marina in Istria and, being only 10 kilometres from the airport of Pula, is a good place to berth a yacht for a crew change or trip home. The marina is operated by the Tehnomont group and offers a total of 630 berths for yachts up to 40 metres and in depths of up to 4.0 metres.

Communication

Call Marina Veruda on VHF channel 17 prior to entry. Alternatively, telephone or e-mail to enquire about berthing or advance reservations.

Navigation

The inlet of Veruda lies just under four miles SE of the entrance to the bay of Pula and is entered to the W of the small island of Otok Veruda. A large hotel is conspicuous on the western side of the entrance. Keep to the centre of the channel, where depths are 12 - 15 metres. The marina lies on the E side of the inlet on a series of piers extending out from the shore. Shelter in the marina is excellent. It is also possible to anchor as an alternative in the inlet of Uvala Kanalic E of the Veruda inlet. Uvala Kanalic is entered via the channel N of Otok Veruda, where depths are around 5.0 - 6.0 metres. Once in the inlet, anchor in 10.0 - 12.0 metres. The holding is good in mud. Shelter is excellent.
