More notes about the marina

The private basin of Marina di Campalto, owned by the yard of Cantiere Marchi, lies on the W side of the Venetian Lagoon, just four kilometers S of the airport of Marco Polo in Mestre. It is the most convenient place in Venice to leave a shallow draft yacht for a trip home by air. The basin has 200 berths for yachts up to 18 metres in depths of 2.0 - 3.0 metres. Access is via a shallow channel and is limited to the hours between 0730 and 2300. It is advisable to make the approach in the last hour of high water.

No listening watch on VHF. Telephone or e-mail for berthing information and reservations.

Coming from the Porto di Lido, take the channels of San Nicolò, delle Navi, dei Marani, Tortolo and finally the channel of Campalto to arrive at the basin. The deeper water in the channel of Campalto is on the starboard side. Stay at least 10 metres clear of the posts marking the channel.

Berthing assistance available on request. Berths are on quays or a long pontoon with mooring posts.

Associated yard of Cantiere Marchi. Hardstanding. Fixed crane (30 T). Mobile crane (180 T). Engine, electrical and electronic repairs. Wood, steel, and fiberglass hull repairs. Sail repairs.

Moderate only.

The marina is in a rather isolated position, but handy for the airport.

  • Transport is essential to get anywhere and bicycles are an advantage
  • Ferries and water taxis into Venice from airport

Provide price information. (If possible add a link to the marina's pricing page.)
