More notes about the marina

The Marina di San Vincenzo is a new marina (opened June 2010) situated at the town of San Vincenzo on the Tuscan coast of NW Italy. It provides a total of 350 berths for yachts up to 24 metres on eight pontoons. The marina is still in the development stage, although the infrastructure is complete, and it is expected that retail and restaurant facilities will be added in the near future.

Contact Marina Cala de Medici on VHF channel 09 prior to entry. Telephone or e-mail for advance reservations.

The marina is situated at the town of San Vincenzo, 37 miles S of the port of Livorno and 35 miles E of the island of Capraia. The marina is enclosed by a long breakwater extending W then S from the coast; the entrance is oriented due to the S. Entry can be difficult with strong onshore winds, which cause a heavy swell with waves breaking on the beach S of the entrance.

Mooring assistance available (24 hrs). Yachts berth on finger pontoons on one of eight pontoons extending out from the shore.
