San Sebastian de la Gomera, Panorama

San Sebastián de la Gomera is the capital of and municipality on La Gomera in the Canary Islands, Spain. It also hosts its main harbour. The population was 8,699 in 2013, and the area is 113.59 km² (43.86 sq mi).

The port serves ferry routes to the islands of Tenerife, La Palma and El Hierro.

The approach to San Sebastian, Canaries is straightforward, no dangers, but there may be strong winds.

San Sebastian, Canaries is a port of entry for Canary Islands. For details see Entrance: Canary Islands.

Berthing

Yachts go to the marina. When entering the harbour, keep to the port side and motor between the yellow buoys parallel to the beach. This is to leave space for the ferries to enter and depart from the dock. This channel is not immediately obvious on entry.
