I have updated the Headings in this to conform with the latest Templates. --Istioploos 18:53, 10 February 2013 (GMT) I found the harbor at Panormitis to be extremely dangerous with any sort of NW to NE wind . The surrounding hills amplify the winds and re-direct them down across the swell entering the harbor. The holding is poor: weed and soft mud. Unless you are tucked right into the NE corner, expect a troubled night of rail dipping gusts and dragging anchors. Additionally, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, the anchorage fills with dozens of charterers out of Rhodos most evidencing a severe lack of anchoring prowess.--Schrodinger Scat 21:46, 6 November 2018 (GMT)
Ayia Marina - Anchoring forbidden!?
July 2021: The staff of the taverna chased us away. They say it is forbidden to anchor less than 200m from the beach. If we don't leave, they will call the port police! We were there in a force 6 Meltemi and the wind swirled us around the bay.
