Marina description...

Communication

VHF channel 67. This is also used by VTS Constanţa. Before coming you should contact them on email and ask for a telephone number. This will also provide berthing assistance.

Navigation

Please come from east. There is a shallow reef at south to south-east of entrance. DO NOT come straight in line from Constanţa Port's northern wavebreaker! You must sail a little bit offshore, then come straight from east. Inside wavebreakers, channel to marina has 2.3 meters depth.

Berthing

There are 4 pontoons and mooring at the concrete quay.

Berthing assistance available?

Assistance is available, you should phone them. That means somebody on the pontoon to show you your place and to give you a hand with the lines.

Facilities

  • Electricity
  • Water
  • Toilet and showers (but you must take a long walk on the quay)
  • WiFi at nearby restaurants

Repairs

None

Security

Minimal. Locked gates to pontoons.

Location

Marina is in the old city center. Great acces to Constanţa. Lots of restaurants, some shops nearby.

Transportation

  • Constanţa Railway Station and intercity bus station (15 minutes walk).
  • Local transport in Constanţa

Price

No pricing advertised but price varies from 0.35€ (daily) to 36.16€ (yearly) x ship's area (LOA x beam, minimum 20 sqm), plus VAT (20% as of September 2016).

  • Nice personnel. Toilet and showers too far away, also closed at night. Not really suited for liveaboard. Exposed to northerly winds, during winter it might be unsafe to let the boat in the water.
