Hi there, Back in the day I had the body of a gladiator and wrestled lions to entertain the crowds. Then I woke up, my coffee was cold and the next door neighbors cat was eyeing me strangely as it lept over the back fence. What's this got to do with sailing - well there is a direct parrell in my cruising exploits. Since I first read Robin Lee Graham's book the Dove and devoured the movie, I have been dreaming only to wake up in suburbia. I asked my father if I could have a loan of his 25 foot Top Hat for a few years to circle the globe. Instead I went to University got a job, a my own place in the rat race and peddled harder. Along the way with new found means I have even bought my own boats, all with a distant shore in mind. The climax was a fantastic 41 footer that I loved but struggled to keep maintained let alone sail solo. A little slip during the GFC (the Global fringing cockup) and I woke back on shore with my escape machine heading out to sea below a new owner who had nabbed an absolute bargain at my expense. I had however learned heaps and after a quick expat stint in a third world hell whole to repair my bank account. I'm back wiser and more realistic than ever. Yesterday and surprisingly with the support of my wife, a new member of the family has joined us. She's 34 years old, 30 feet long, has a great figure and easy to handle. More to follow but Sail Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand here we come!
