A raw beginner to yachts, grew up inland and dry, but after father died and mother moved to the harbour, would sped occasional trips to visit her capsizing the local boat clubs Optimists in the harbour. A SCUBA diver more comfortable under the water than on it (is that a wise trait in a boatie?)

Now living in the mountains and considering buying a small coastal sailer in the 20-25 foot range to do coastal trips from one scuba spot to another as a summer liveabord.
