I have been a serial boat owner for the last 25 years and currently sail a Dufour 455GL out of Malta, based at the Msida Marina in Msida Creek, just west of Valletta. I have been brought up in Malta and am very conversant with sailing there. I have also frequently sailed in Sicily and less frequently in Southern Italy and Greece.
I have undertaken a number of longer trips including a 6 week trip in 2010 from Marseille all the way East along the South of France and Italian Riviera to Portofino and down the West Coast of Italy including most of the islands such as Elba, [Ponza], Ischia, Capri, [the Aeolian Islands], stopping at a large number of ports on the way. I had also done a cruise around Sicily and all its islands in 2011.
