Also see World Cruiser's Nets.
Before entering the port you must contact port control on VHF Ch.12. If you are unfamiliar with the port the 'vigie du port' will provide guidance by radio.
There is a sandbank inside the port that's well marked on charts that should be avoided.
Entrance
Boulogne is a port of entry/exit to France.
Submit details about facilities for checking in - location of immigration & customs, etc.
Berthing
There are a number of finger pontoons that will suit yachts of up to around 40-45ft. Yachts larger than this may be able to fit on the hammerheads or pontoon off a boat that is already moored there.
The marina can be contacted on VHF 9 and is open until around 6pm. After this time you're on your own and they will cover off mooring fees in the morning.
Beware that there may be a significant amount of bird droppings, do you bit and give the pontoon a quick hose down.

The local sailing club bar in the marina is extremely friendly and well worth a hello. It is located on the floor above the marina office.
