Kaohsiung Port of Entry
| |
|
Kaohsiung (Hokkien POJ: Ko-hiông; Hakka PFS: Kô-hiùng; old names: Takao, Takow, Takau) is a special municipality located in southwestern Taiwan facing the Taiwan Strait. As of 2018, Kaohsiung has a population of approximately 2.77 million people, making it Taiwan's third most populous city. It is Taiwan's second largest city and its largest port, as well as one of the major container ports of the world.
Kaohsiung is probably Taiwan's best known centre for shipbuilding and in recent years has become a hub for superyacht building and repairs.
