Approach and Navigation

Check-in facilities

Submit details about facilities for checking in - where to dock, etc. Call in when about 5 miles out. Honour the entry coordinates. When we were there in 07 the outer mark was missing. The LAT/LONG given in N Calders cruising guide to Cuba is accurate for entry. Stay within the day marks as there is areef on either side ofthe channel. At the end of the channel turn to port and the "welcoming committee will be there to take your lines and check you in. e found them very helpful and courtious. More after our trip there this year (Jan 2009)

Marinas & Yacht Clubs

• Jan/25/2009 The National Yacht Club is located in Marina Hemmingway. When we were there 2 years ago they held a bar b que on Friday evenings. Book in at the office upstairs to reserve a place. It was very cheap Approx $5:00 per head for Mahi and salad.
• I will do afurther update after my next trip to Cuba this year
