Marina Kaštela is a relatively new marina, situated at the resort of Kaštel Gomilica in the Kaštelanski zaljev gulf, roughly equidistant from Trogir and Split. The international airport of Split is only seven kilometers away. The marina provides 420 berths for yachts up to 25 metres in depths of up to 8.0 metres. It is a major charter base, with several charter companies operating from the marina. Some of the facilities are still under development.

Call Marina Kastela on VHF channel 17 prior to entry. Alternatively, telephone or e-mail to enquire about berthing or advance reservations.

Navigation

The bay of Kastela is entered between Cape Ciovo at the E extremity of the island of the same name and Cape Marjan two miles W of Split. Leaving a green light buoy just N of Cape Marjan to starboard, set a course of 018 degrees for the marina entrance. In the approach, be sure to leave the Galija shoal/wiki/Marina_Ka%C5%A1tela#Galija_shoalDanger icon Galija shoal [[Marina Kaštela#Galija shoal|Galija shoal]] 43°31.900'N, 016°25.023'E (marked with a yellow light buoy) to starboard. There are two separate basins in the marina, but the main entrance is on the W side. Depths in the entrance are 4.8 metres.

Berthing

Berthing assistance available. Yachts berth stern/bows-to where directed on one of the four long pontoons or on the quays. Laid moorings at all berths. Maximum depths in the marina are 8.0 metres but less than 2.0 metres at the root of the pontoons.

Location

The marina is situated about 15 km W of Split, which is a major transport hub, with an international airport and good rail links. The airport itself is only 7 km W of the marina.
