The marina of Marina dei Cesari is situated on the Adriatic coast of Italy around 30 miles NNW of the port of Ancona and eight miles SE of the harbour of Pesaro. The marina offers berths for around 400 yachts of up to 30 metres. Shelter in the marina is excellent, although access is dangerous in strong onshore winds in view of the shallow entrance channel.

The entrance to Fano consists of a narrow channel between a long breakwater, orientated WNW/ESE, which protects the basin in which the marina is situated and a shorter breakwater extending N from the shore on the western side of the entrance channel. Minimum depths in the entrance are 2.7 metres. To enter the marina, continue up the channel until the training wall on port side turns E. The marina entrance is a further 50 metres to port. Depths in the marina are 3.0 metres (but subject to silting). Access is difficult and potentially dangerous in strong onshore winds.
