-	* Be careful about the pontoon/dock you are directed to when arriving outside of normal business hours. We have a 15 meter sailing yacht and were directed to the "L" dock, and charged  €85 for the night.  When we asked the mooring master about this price he indicated the price was firm. After we had paid him I looked online at the price list for the marina to find that the fee not only depends on the size of your boat but also the pontoon or dock where they put you. We were put on a dock with a price that was double the amount we would have paid on the appropriate dock for our boat size. The marina refused to adjust the price.

Porto San Giorgio is a large, purpose-built marina situated on the Adriatic coast of Italy around 18 miles NNW of the port of San Benedetto del Tronto and 10 miles SSE of the harbour of Civitanova Marche. The marina provides 800 berths for yachts of up to 30 metres in one of the best sheltered harbours along this coast.

Navigation/Approach

The marina is protected by a long breakwater oriented roughly N/S. The village behind the harbour is not very conspicuous and the marina breakwaters are the most obvious feature. Stay at least 200 metres offshore in the approach to avoid detached breakwaters that protect the beaches to N and S of the marina. The marina is entered from NNW between a line of green and red marker buoys. Depths in the entrance are around 5.0 - 5.5 metres. Entry is difficult in strong onshore winds.

Engine, electrical and electronic repairs. Wood, fiberglass and steel hull repairs. Painting and osmosis treatment. Sail repairs. Divers.

Good (24 hrs).

The marina is at the southern end of the town of Porto San Giorgio, 500 metres from the nearest shops.
