List Islands

  • St. James Island - at the mouth of the Choptank River, on the Eastern side of the Chesapeake Bay. St. James Island is uninhabited. It is a great place to raft up, or drop anchor out of the channel for the afternoon. The water is deeper approaching from the north <5' to with 50' of the island. Seeing numerous rays on this approach is not uncommon. The island is small and the kids enjoy wading over and exploring and can do so without ever getting out of site.
