Premuda Island lies off the mainland coast of Croatia, 12 miles SSE of the much larger island of Lošinj and five miles W of the island of Silba. A mile SE lies the tiny island of Skarda and, beyond it, Ist and Molat. The island offers few facilities, but there are two useful anchorages on the SW coast which offer good shelter in all but strong NW or S winds. There is also a small and shallow harbour (which usually has space for a few yachts even in high season) and mooring buoys just off it for use in settled weather.

Anchorages
Uv. Premuda
Just over a mile SE of Luka Krijal is the inlet of Uv. Premuda a wooded inlet with three arms - N, E and S - where a yacht can anchor inshore in depths of 6.0 - 8.0 metres, depending on the winds. The most popular anchorage is in the S arm, where the shelter is good in all but strong NW winds. Holding is good in sand and weed. It is also possible to take lines ashore here to limit swinging or to hold a yacht bows on to the swell.
Note: There is a rocky shelf off the S headland of the bay which should be given a good offing.Amenities
