Prince Edward Island (PEI or P.E.I.; French: Île-du-Prince-Édouard) is a province of Canada consisting of the island of the same name, and several much smaller islands. It is Canada's only island province, and the smallest one by both area (5,686.03 km2) and population, with only 140,000 inhabitants.
