The marina is a good, safe place to leave a yacht while flying home from the airport at Thessaloniki.  One small irritation is that the marina charges even part of a day as a full day - in other words, if you arrive at 2300 on Friday and leave at 0700 Saturday you are charged for two days!

Thessaloniki is well placed for side trips to the stunning region of the Meteora, with its unusually sited monasteries; the spectacular royal tombs of the Macedonian kings at Vergina; the Mt Olympus National Park; the town of Edessa (famous for its waterfalls) and even the Prespa Lakes on the borders of FYRM and Albania.
