We all look forward to your valued contributions to the Cruising Wiki to help it grow as a useful, free resource for all cruisers around the world. Now you are registered, you can set your personal preferences in "My Preferences" (link at top R/H of page when logged in).

Spend a little time reading the Wiki Help and the Style Guide to gain a better understanding of the Wiki formatting and how to edit articles. Also, please read the Cruiserswiki Copyrights notice, as well as the General Disclaimers (links at bottom of pages) before starting to edit. Then, do add what you can - even correcting grammar and spelling errors in articles is a great help - but do not use the Rich Editor to do so, since there is a problem with it at present. It is easy to see if you are going wrong, since you cannot save your changes to a page without previewing them first.

Use any page's "Discussion" tab (top of page's menu) to ask any questions or make any suggestions about that particular page.

Finally, please note that massive changes by a new editor are liable to be considered spam and the editor will be blocked. Please concentrate on editing pages of the places that you have actually visited. Also please avoid using the "Rich Editor", it does not work well and creates problems.

A bit of a problem though: I've tried to upload a photo with a newer bridge between Ugljan and Pasman. I've made it via "Upload a new version of this file" for UgljanZdrelac.jpg‎. I was quite surprising that now UgljanZdrelac.jpg instead of this newer image still renders to the original version. Perhaps I had to just an upload under a different name rather fiddling with the old one.

I've deleted the old file, so you can upload the new one. I suggest you rename it UgljanZdrelac2.jpg so the system doesn't try to revert to the old file. I've found in the past that it's the easiest way to replace photos and it has the additional merit of clearing the old one from the servers.

Eskifoça

I have restored the heading ====Eskifoça==== that you had changed to ====Foça====. The reason for this is that headers are used by the wiki as link labels from other pages. So, if we change the header in one page the linked pages will no longer be ab;e to refer to that label i.e. they will become "orphan links." If I can offer an opinion on this one, I'm not in favour of change. Heikell refers to Eski Foca; Noonsite does and so do several other sailing websites. poi Template

Glad you found it useful. The problem with coords that it's not possible to use maths in this version of Mediawiki, otherwise "|lat=123.1233|lon=23.789" would look much better and could be reused easily --Vadp 16:30, 13 February 2015 (GMT)

I see that now you use the poi template in places where coordinates are not needed i.e. parking lots and facilities (for example see Port Tino Rossi). In many places (poi with inline * Car parking Template:Poi inline) it just adds the the graphic without coordinates. Rather confusing.--Istioploos 01:30, 20 March 2015 (GMT)

Egadi etc.

Dear Vadim

One note on Image size in Isole Egadi and other pages you have recently edited. It just a cosmetic issue. If the infobox table has an Image sized the usual 350px. Images outside of the infobox also sized 350px look larger. The fix for this is to keep the 350 in the box and specify 345px on images outside any boxes.

My apologies, Vasilis: I've made (wrongly) a copy-paste. Please let me know if these are some other articles are to be fixed: I had a look at some of my earlier edits and found some similar issues (made by someone else). I see that you have been busy creating a number of clever and useful Templates. Most of our users are not even aware of Templates. So, I have been thinking that it would be very useful if we create a master page that contains all of our templates names and a brief description. This page then can be linked from the general Help page.

What do you think?

Hi Vasilis, This is a good idea indeed. The thing though that these templates are quite unstable yet (some are to be deleted). For example, a list of types POIs needs to be devised somehow. The other thing these infobox templates are they good enough to be introduced to a wider audience? I think we should wait until you finish with your recent template creation and then go ahead with a page that lists them along with a link and brief description of what they are for. Template Infobox marina

I see that you have added a line for "Hours". That is useful. But you have omitted "More notes about the Marina" which is a catch all for more info that if included in individual items will make the box too wide. --Istioploos 01:40, 20 March 2015 (GMT)
