Holy Island is also known as Lindisfarne.
Holy Island has a great combination of history, scenery and wildlife to offer.
To the south of the island anchorages may be found either in they drying bay in the middle of the south shore or in the channel to the south of steep too shore of "The Heugh" between the lit beacon and the pier. Tides flow strongly as they cover and uncover a large area inshore of the island. It is advisable to have two anchors set, one to the east for the flood tide and the other to the west for the ebb.
