Berthing
It is best not to anchor in the busy commercial harbor but to use the marina.

Mackay Marina & Shipyard

The marina has 479 berths, available for purchase or rent - including 102 purpose-built multi-hull berths of varying size, 6 Mega Berths of 50-metre capacity, 2 Big Boat Berths for 30m+ mono-hull, and 25m+ multi-hull, 32 commercial fishing berths - plus 1 maintenance berth and 3 unloading berths. It is designed for vessels with a 3.5m draft at lowest astronomical tide. It is a full service marina including laundry, WiFi, ATMs and basic mini-market. Harbour beach next door. The yard has a 65-tonne travel-lift designed to slip boats of up to 9.2 m beam. It provides hard standing, chandlery, and several repair facilities onsite.
