The entrance is well-buoyed and lit and provides an all-weather harbour.
Redcliffe/Scarborough to Mooloolaba - beware of sandbar entering Mooloolaba because it does move and has to be dredged - check VMR/VCP on current condition.

Berthing
Visiting boats are permitted to anchor in the lagoon at the western end of the harbour. The shelter is excellent and the holding good in a mud bottom.
There are several marinas here.

265 berth (10 m to 18 m mono and multi-haul) marina with all facilities, laundry, WiFi, Bar, restaurant and B-B-Q area. Yacht club, chandlery and repair services close by.
