The Port of Shuaiba (or Ash-Shu’ayba) lies on the northeastern shores of the Persian Gulf in southeastern Kuwait about 45 km southeast of Kuwait City. The nation’s second port, it is also home to an oil refinery, a petrochemical plant, and a seafood-packing plant. The city is home to one of the biggest seawater desalinization. The Port of Shuaiba was created to support the city’s industries, and it is the country’s second port for commercial cargoes.

Small Boat Harbour
The small craft basin at the Port of Shuaiba, with alongside depth of 4 meters, has three piers with total length of 475 meters. The barge basin contains four piers totaling 905 meters in length with alongside depth of 6 meters.
