Navigation

The only navigable pass (no markers) into the atoll is Fanning pass/wiki/Tabuaerean_(Fanning_Island)#Fanning_passwaypoint Fanning pass [[Tabuaerean (Fanning Island)#Fanning pass|Fanning pass]] 03°51.529'N, 159°21.774'WFanning pass3.85881;-159.3629 but there are many reefs on the North of the pass.

The area of the anchorage (inside the atoll) is full of rocks but once you clear them this is a protected anchorge from the notherlies. You can either moor to one of the two buoys or tie to the sunken barge.

Port of Entry

This anchorage is outside the atoll. Anchor in about 10 m depth over sand and coral. From here you easily go ashore for clearance with the authorties.
