Going from the Aegean sea to the Marmara sea, a counter current exists close to the border of both sides of the strait. Beware, do not get too close, though !
There is a good anchoring at the bay close to Eceabat at 40°12'11.4"N 26°21'39.2"E. It is located opposite of Canakkale.
