[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conwy Conwy] is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is the home of Conwy castle. The River Conwy is spanned by three bridges, the most impressive being Telford's suspension bridge built in 1826. At its entrance are two marinas, [[Conwy Marina]] and [[Deganwy Marina]]
-
Entrance is via the Conwy Approach channel marked by the fairway buoy, red and white, at {{Coord|53|17.95|N|03|55.55|W|}}. Then follow the well buoyed channel to enter the Conwy river. The entrance starboard side. Conwy marina operates a flap gate which opens approximately 3 hours either side of High Water. Beware: the Conwy river is tidal and streams run at 6 knots on springs and sometimes mooring buoys are covered by the flowing water and are particularly difficult to spot when approaching in the dark. Conwy Approach Channel Diagrams are available free of charge at the Harbour Office, Conwy.
