There is not very much to do here other than visiting the fort, swimming, and taking some nice long walks.

Grocery & Supply Stores

  • Kelibia has a mostly indoor fresh produce market 2 km north west of the marina open most days. Turn left out of the marina and follow the roads north west and then ask for 'marche' (market in french).
  • A much larger outdoor fruit and vegetable market is close to the indoor market (300m west). The outdoor market is characterised by horse and donkey drawn carts and is open Sundays and perhaps other days and is well worth a visit.
  • A Carrefour supermarket is nearby the fresh produce market.
  • A bunch of small shops are located just outside the marina including a few small fruit and vegetable shops.

Eateries

  • A number of restaurants are close to the harbour, some overlook the harbour and more are located on the main road just outside the harbour area.
  • A small patisserie is located to the right on the main road just outside the main harbour entrance that serves French pastries, cakes, coffee and fresh orange juice, all at local (non tourist) prices.

Personal Notes

  • When we went to Kelibia in 2001, the harbor was very crowded with fishing boats and had a bad smell. We did not stay. --Istioploos 22:09, 19 August 2008 (EEST)
  • Visted Kelibia in March 2012. For those that like the character of a fishing harbour and local Tunisian goings on, Kelibia is a good place to visit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. You are likely to be tied up alongside other vessels on the one crowded non fishing boat quay. Rr7
