Wedged between the mainland and North Stradbroke Island, Macleay Island is a small residential island off the coast of Brisbane in Moreton Bay. Land prices are a bargain compared to adjacent coastal towns, reflecting the inconvenience of commuting to work by ferry. The island's residents are mostly retirees.
