Overview
Norman's Cay is 4 miles long making it one of the longest islands in the Exumas. Norman's Cay gaining notoriety in the 1970's when drug lord Carlos Lehder made it a base of his cocaine smuggling operation. He was arrested in the early 1980's and is currently in prison in the US. A crashed DC-3 sitting in the harbor is left from these days. There is a popular anchorage between the plane and the old dock on the SE corner of the island. The runway on at the southern end is the northern most runway in the Exumas. MacDuffs Restaurant & Bar is just off the beach at the SW corner of the island. They monitor ch 17.

- Highborne Cay gives the weather at 7:30 each morning. They announce it on ch 16, asking boaters to switch to ch 6.

Anchorages
- Southeast anchorage offers protection from any winds. Anchor between the dock and the airplane.
- The Pond - This offers great protection from winds, but the entrance is very tricky.
