Olive Island Marina lies at the head of the bay of U. Sutomiscica on the NE coast of the island of [[Ugljan]] in [[Croatia]]. The bay is just three miles WSW of the city of [[Zadar]] on the mainland. The marina, which opens all year round, offers a total of 225 berths for yachts up to 50 metres in depths of up to 7.0 metres. It unusual name is a reference to the supposed derivation of Ugljan from the Croat word for olive. The marina offers good shelter in most wind conditions, but strong NE winds send a swell into the bay and some berths in the marina are affected.
