From 1969 to 1983 my parents sailed the Mediterranean on chartered yachts and later mainly the north sea with our custom made 30 foot family sail yacht Sempavor. Unfortunately the Sempavor was lost in a fire and my parents did not buy a new sailing boat. Two decades later my wife and I started sailing again, first mainly on charter boats in the Caribbean and on some lager sailing vessels. In 2010 we decided to buy a new boat with the intention to sail for some longer periods in the Mediterranean. Early 2011 our Jeanneau 53 Salacia was commissioned in the south of France and we took off for a 6 month journey.
This winter we left the boat in Bagnara Calabra Italy. 2012 we will be sailing in Croatia with home port in Biograd.
